For Sale Today: ANTIQUE FRENCH JOSSELIN LE CHATEAU SOUVENIR EGLOMISÉ GLASS JEWELRY CASKET BOX JOSSELIN LE CHATEAU SOUVENIR BOX A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF VICTORIAN ERA FINERY. THE INSIDE IS PADDED WITH A SILK PILLOW. THE FRENCH ORMOLU WORK HAS AN INTRICATE DESIGN. THIS WAS MADE IN FRANCE AND IS FROM THE LATE 19TH CENTURY BETWEEN 1880 AND 1890.THESE WERE SOUVENIR PIECES OF THE WEALTHY ACQUIRED WHILE TRAVELING THROUGHOUT EUROPE IN THE MID TO LATE 1800S. THE FOUR SIDES & TOP HAVE GLASS WITH METAL ORMOLU AND DETAILED CLAW FEET. THE INSIDE HAS A TUFTED PILLOW, WHICH IS SLIGHTLY FADED AND HAS SOME LOSS. THE GLASS HAS A CHIP ON THE CORNER. THE LID ALSO HAS SOME SLIGHT WARPING. THE PICTURE HAS SOME DAMAGE AND LOSS IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY.
