ANTIQUE FIGURAL HERON & SNAKE CRANBERRY GLASS FLOAT LAMP:

Offered for sale is an incredibly rare antique figural cranberry glass float lamp. I am not sure what the metal is. It has a beautiful even darkened patina and features a large bird (heron?) with a snake that has wrapped around its neck and continues with its head sticking out over the hanging glass. The holder has hoofs for feet and what looks like little goats heads just above the hoofs. The hanging glass holder has ornate cut outs, and holds its original cranberry glass insert that fits perfect. The cranberry glass has no damage. It stands 16 1/2\" high. The cranberry glass insert is 3\" high with a 2 1/2\" opening. I would say this is from late 1880s to early 1900s.
