Presenting an exceptionally scarce and desirable antique Edwardian silver mounted glass match striker which has been crafted into the stylised form of an owl. This freestanding figural piece has been crafted in sparkling clear glass moulded into the shape of a magnificently textured owl. A sterling silver mount to the top rim perfectly compliments the sparkling glass and is beautifully stamped with English hallmarks for London 1908. X X X X X X X X X EXCEPTIONAL ANTIQUE FIGURAL MATCH STRIKE Presenting an exceptionally scarce and desirable antique Edwardian silver mounted glass match striker which has been crafted into the stylised form of an owl.This freestanding figural piece has been crafted in sparkling clear glass moulded into the shape of a magnificently textured owl. A sterling silver mount to the top rim perfectly compliments the sparkling glass and is beautifully stamped with English hallmarks for London 1908. SIZE: This piece stands approx 70mms tall, measures 70mms in length and 70mms in width.WEIGHT: This piece weighs 290 grams unpackaged.CONDITION: This piece is presented in good antique condition with a small and shallow slither of a chip to the underside of the owls tail along with a few minuscule fleabite sized nibbles to the rim of the base noticeable only on close examination and not at all detectable when the piece is on display. There are a few small indents to the silver rim mentioned for complete accuracy. This superb example has been very well cared for and presents magnificently.MARKS: The remnants of an etched Registration number remain to the flat ground polished base. - This exceptional example would make an outstanding addition to any antique match strike collection!
