THE DOG ALSO DISPLAYS ALL HIS DEW CLAWS.THE SCULPTURE WAS CARVED BY THE ARTIST UNDER THE WORKS PROGRESS ADMINISTRATION ALSO KNOWN AS ( WPA ) WHICH FORMED MAY 6TH 1935 AND DISSOLVED JUNE 30 1943 THE WPA PROVIDED PAID JOBS TO THE UNEMPLOYED DURING THE GREAT DEPRESSION IN THE UNITED STATES.
