This antique French figural inkwell from the early 19th century is a rare find. Made from fine porcelain, this inkwell features a stunning figurine of a cavalier and his horse, taking a rest. The attention to detail on this piece is remarkable, with intricate designs and patterns that showcase the artistry of the French craftsmen who created it. The figural part lifts off to reveal complete ink well and shaker. There is some minor damages upon close inspection; the tip of one horse ear is missing, hilt of cavaliers sword and tiny mouthpiece of bugal missing (i needed a magnifyer to see some of these. The base of the piece has garlands of flowers strung between helmeted male heads. A phenomenal display. Early and fine!!
