Amazing condition for a utilitarian item in daily use.

There are no dings or dents to the silver. The protruding parts, such as the maiden’s nose and chin, are sharp and well defined without any dings or push-ins, as very often happens.

The crystal seems nearly perfect. I can’t see any chips or flakes to any of the corners. Follow all the images around. There is a slight roughage on one or two of the waffles on the underside (image 6). I actually never saw this in person but the camera picked it up.

The hinge is tight and works smoothly.

Wonderful warm patina that all collectors crave.

Marked STERLING in small letters just underneath the curled area of her hair (see last image).

This inkwell is just a wonderful cross-collectable. Whether you collect inkwells or Art Nouveau maidens, it will be a wonderful addition to your collection.
