NOTE - no attempt has been made to polish, clean or otherwise make this knife more attractive for photos.

A good sterling silver bladed pocket or fruit knife with rich Mother of Pearl scales. Hallmarked for William Morton & Sons, Sheffield, 1923. The company dates back to before the 1850’s and was best known for the production of pocket and sports knives, as well as razors and scissors.

Measures approximately 2 3/4 inches long overall, closed. Hallmarked sterling silver blade measures approximately 2 inches long, point to bolster. Hallmarked with Sheffield Crown, Lion assay mark, date letter and the maker’s mark for William Morton. White metal bolsters, pinched at end, single line engraved. Brass liners. Attractive mother of pearl scales in a “teardrop” design with an oblong shield (unengraved) to obverse scale. Signs of yellow lip pearl near bolsters. Good condition overall – some scratching from use to the blade; small chip at base of reverse scale. Good friction to blade.
