Please email with any questions. 7x9 pale blue paper dated 1854, a letter to hardware merchants in Macon, Georgia from E C Elkins of Washington County. Mr Elkins writes that he has heard of the dissolution of their partnership and closing out of their business. Mr Elkins had brought them some "match plaises" to be changed (exchanged) in November and they didn't have want he wanted in exchange. When he called again in January, they were still not available. Mr Elkins wants them held in reserve until he calls and says that if they don't remember then "one of your clerks does. I don't know his name tho he is the one that is a cripple'.
