For sale is a Tiffany civil war cavalry saber in great shape for its age. It has only 3 small dings on the edge of the blade, and there is some little bit of what appears to be scuffing near the end point edge of the blade - but other than that seems to be in great shape (refer to pictures, I have taken as many close ups as I can). There are spots of oxidation on the blade itself, but nothing that looks bad. The leather and wire on the sheath is coming up and in fairly poor shape, but all of the wire seems to be there and intact. The whole length of the blade and handle are 41.5\", which is part of what identifies it as a type 2. The blade length is approximately 36 inches, it measures slightly shorter but that is likely because it is curved. The hilt is made of iron, which I believe is only done on tiffany swords, most companies would use brass. The sword slides fairly smoothly into the sheath and fits nicely.
