This medal is 1.25 inches long with a bale and 1.15inches long without the bale. It weighs 11 grams of bronze. Mary Magdalene,sometimes called Mary of Magdala, or simply the Magdalene or the Madeleine, wasa woman who, according to the four canonical gospels, traveled with Jesus asone of his followers and was a witness to his crucifixion and its aftermath.She is mentioned by name twelve times in the canonical gospels, more than mostof the apostles and more than any other woman in the Gospels, other than Jesus'family.
