Ansel Adams was an American photographer and environmentalist. He is best known forhis black-and-white landscape photographs of the Western United States. \"Moonrise,Hernandez, New Mexico\" is one of the most famous. In 1952, he was one of the foundersof the magazine \"Aperture\" - intended as a serious journal of photography. Adams verymuch helped establish photography as an art form.
