We are offering a Delegate Medal for the American Legion\'s First National Convention held in Minneapolis, Minnesota in November of 1919. The pin bar has the American Eagle at the top, and hanging from the bar is a \"plaque\" that says, \"Committee on Permanent Headquarters\". The American Legion was established in March of 1919 following the end of World War I. Apparently, this first convention was held in Minneapolis to determine where the Legion\'s National Headquarters would be. The delegates decided on Indianapolis, Indiana as the place for its headquarters. The medal is 1 1/8\" in diameter, and the entire piece, including the ribbon and pin bar, measures 4\".
