This is an original pencil, pen & ink drawing of the character Ironhorse by Alex Ross.

The drawing was published in 2004 in the comic “Astro City: A Visitor’s Guide” which is also included in the sales of this original art.

“Astro City: A Visitor’s Guide” also includes the art of Simon Bisley, Walter Simonson, Bill Sienkiewicz, Al Milgrom, Darwyn Cooke, Bruce Timm, Jim Lee, Jim Starlin, George Pérez, Howard Chaykin, Dave Gibbons and John Paul Leon.

By the way, the drawing was done on the back of an 8.5in x 11in business letter from legendary Freak Brothers artist Paul Mavrides calling for support for his cause against sales tax on cartoon and comic book art, a cause he fought with the help of the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund.
