You are purchasing a nice high grade example of AIR PIRATES FUNNIES # 2 by HELL COMICS from 1971. This listing is ONLY for the Air Pirates comic and NOT FOR the Big Little Book nor The Pirates And The Mouse book from the last 8 photos. Photos of the Big Little Book and The Pirates and The Mouse are only used for reference. The Air Pirates used images of popular Walt Disney characters and parodied them in their comic books. The original drawing of Mickey Mouse was taken from the cover of a Big Little Book from 1933 and the hardcover book “The Pirates And The Mouse” details the feud and lawsuit filed by Walt Disney over the use of their beloved characters.

This book sparked quite the controversy and prompted a lawsuit filed by Walt Disney. Disney eventually won the lawsuit and Hell comics was not allowed to parody the Disney characters nor were reprints allowed. There were 2 issues produced before Hell comics was banned from further publishing of Disney characters. This is a tough to find book in any grade and is all original with no restoration. This is a nice high grade example of a tough to find book and will ship the same or next business day after your payment. This will be very carefully packed.
