Kimball wrote, directed and Co-Hosted three landmark shows for the Disneyland TV Series that explored the science (and fantasy) of space travel. Working with scientists Willy Ley, Heinz Haber, Ernst Stuhlinger and Werner Von Braun, Kimball’s first effort was the 1955 program, “Man In Space”. “Man And The Moon” followed later that year, and “Mars And Beyond” in 1957.Ward Kimball came out of retirement to help develop the “World Of Motion” for EPCOT in the early 1980’s. He produced and directed some innovative and funny shows in this exhibit.One Scene that comes to mind in the “World Of Motion” was “The First Traffic Jam” that humorously depicted a collision of a Horse and Cart with a Horseless Carriage on a city street intersection. Ward Kimball was a “Master” of the “Animation Gag”.
