A Pair of fine Venetian Reliefs..
Carved of wood and partly gilt, representing a young couple in bust height, wearing attire in Italian renaissance style, struck with the letters Fo BESAREL VENEZIA, offset against red velvet and within a circular frame, the reverse applied with a label indicating Francesco Besarel, Sculpteur de Venise, Barnaba 2796, Venise.
By Francesco Panciera, with the assumed name Besarel, around 1900.
Together with his older Brother Valentino, their work received with prestigious commissions - to high acclaim.
