Unglazed, unused tiles with very expressive, dimentional roosters, clear stamp marks at back. Measurements: each about 3" x 3" x 3/8" thick. Batchelder, Los Angeles, CA Ernest A. Batchelder (1875-1957) began to produce tiles in the backyard of his home on the banks of the Arroyo Seco. The 1912 tile catalog stated that “This industry started as a back yard experiment, with a portable kiln having a capacity of one hundred and fifty 6x6 tiles.”
