This sale is for a set of nine (9) vintage mailing envelopes from - Safeway Stores, Inc.
They date from sometime around 1930....Size 5" x 10.25" They were for some form of correspondence within the organization, since it says Safeway Stores in the return address, and the mailing address says Safeway Stores Inc.,Box 609, Sacramento, California.
I can estimate the date pretty closely because my mother kept her paper dolls in them when she was a little girl. Consequently, their condition is a bit rough, and there is very faint pencil writing on the backs, bu still reasonably sound!
