Like the entire Emile Henry line since it’s beginnings in 1850, the handcrafted piece was created in the Burgundy region of France. The same unique local clay that gives the wines of this region their legendary “terroir,” also allows for remarkable heat absorption, retention, distribution, and resistance up to 520 degrees. The chip-resistant, oven, dishwasher and microwave-safe stoneware is in EUC with no cracks, chips, fading, staining or crazing. ( There are light utensil scratches visible in certain lights on the interior bottom; I have attempted to photograph). Pan measures 10.4” ( Top Diameter), 7.4” ( Bottom Diameter) and is 2.2” deep.
