An ironed, srtong, rigid stiff field hat staying firmly on head or in hands as on picture (not collapsing, not like a hat taken right from the mouth of the angry dogs (how we say it down here in Hungary). So its keep its shape! Even after folding. This hat in the sixties was the first step to turn from direct communist style and Soviet military uniform symbols back towards the traditional Hungarian uniforms when we were a part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. This fatigue, khaki canvas fully stamped example has various size stamps but because of the ironing process back in the sixties (on a hat stretcher made exactly for this hats to keep its shape) the real size is 58/59. In big wind, rain and cold the sides could be turned down just like the WWI examples.
