5 Vintage Hand Painted Black Japanese Lacquer Boxes Cases. You get all 5 of the boxes and cases pictured. They all look Japanese to me but the long box with the guys that are pulling a big turtle (or whatever it is) is marked Germany on the bottom (it also comes with its key and measures 8" x 2 1/4" x 1"). They all have a shiny finish except the one thicker rectangular one (top left of the first picture). It has a dull finish and look the most worn (it measures 4 1/4" x 3" x 1 3/4"). The long oval one opens and may have been used for glasses or sewing needles of some sort (not sure). The smallest opens and has a Budda or statue of some wort in it. The paint behind it looks worn but it is still cool.
