Offering this antique canister set marked on the bases \"Staffel Germany\" and \"GER.208.\"; also impressed \"RITA\".
The canisters read \"SUGAR\", \"RICE\", \"CEREAL\", \"TEA\" and \"COFFEE\".
The canisters are all the same size:6-1/2\" tall, 5-1/4\" x 4-1/2\" (base only). 8-1/2\" tall with lid on.The are decorated with stencil-style roses and wavy foliage on one side, and the matching lids have three of the same roses on one side as well.There are fleabites noted on all the canisters at the mouth opening, and correspondingly these are also found on the lids at the edge. Great majority of these are not visible when the lids are on the canisters. There is also crazing on these pieces, which has not darkened. A few more substantial spider lines (see the 8th photo). The decoration is still strong. The lids don\'t fit super tightly. Overall this set looks nice.
I also have a sixth canister with lid in this pattern which is also marked \"SUGAR\". It does have a hairline crack/significant spider line vertically across the back so I have not included it in the listing but you are welcome to it at no charge if you want it - just be aware that this will increase your shipping cost. Let me know at the end of the sale if you want me to include it and I will send an invoice with the revised shipping. I have not photographed it above to avoid confusion, but message me if you want one.
