This is a nice selection of GREETINGS postcards that would have been sent out for Best Wishes and Friendship. These postcards are all AIR BRUSHED postcards and they show FLOWERS. These areEMBOSSED postcards with one of them having GOLD TRIM in the design. The postcards are nicely drawn, and have good detail, which makes them pleasing to look at. This is a nice group of AIR BRUSHED postcards for the collector.

AIR BRUSHED postcards are unique and only had a \"short life\". Most of these postcards were \"Printed In Germany\" during the early years of the \"Golden Age of Postcards\" (1908-1915 era), and publishers stopped making these during World War I. Air Brushed postcards were first made by embossing the paper, and then hand-coloring the paper by using an air-operated tool to spray paint the ink or dye onto the postcard. Those with GOLD TRIM and GLITTER had an extra step in that the gold / glitter was added afterwards to enhance the postcard’s beauty.Air brushed postcards have now become collector items. They are a pleasure to look at with a bright and colorful look.

The publisher is Illustrated Postal Card, a well known and respected USA publisher. Illustrated Postal Card (1904-14; New York, Berlin), was a major USA publisher of postcards and published in Germany (Leipzig, Saxony) up through World War I. Besides postcards, they also published fine art cards that were very popular.The company has a distinctive eagle trademark logo and is considered as one of the “most wanted publishers” by collectors.They produced many beautifully embossed, heavy embossed (with an extra sheet on the back), air brushed, and glitter postcards. They were one of the most respected publishing houses during the “Golden Age of Postcards” (1908-1915 era).

These are good postcards to add to a collection. They wouldappeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and provide a \"glimpse of life\" back then. Overall, a niceselection of antique Greetings postcards at a reasonable price.

The postcards are UNPOSTED (4) and POSTED (1) with a cancel date of 1908. These postcards were \"Printed in Germany\" during the Golden Age of Postcards (1908-1915). One has an UNDIVIDED back and the others have DIVIDED backs.

These are BETTER POSTCARDS and good for a collector.The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition.
