4 Vintage Trinket/Jewelry Boxes.

All boxes are preowned.

Hinges work fine on the boxes that have them.

1. Museum Reproduction Box, Black High-density polyethylene with a Reproduction of a Japanese painting on the lid.

This box comes with an unopened package inside consisting of 2 notepads and a pencil. The package has never been opened. The inside of the lid reads:

2. Starforms Brass & Glass Mirrored Bottom Butterfly Box

This has both painted and stained glass in the butterfly decoration that adorns the top, Brass feet and frame with metal hinge and mirrored bottom.

Measurements:

2 1\2" Long

2 1/2" Wide

2 1/4" Tall

3. Kashmir India Pretty Round Papier Mache Trinket Box. Hand made and hand painted lacquered trinket box with 2 butterflies and stars on the lid.

Measurements:

2 3/8" Diameter

1 3/8" Tall

4. Vintage Japanese house shaped trinket dish metal and wood

This trinket box is shaped in the form of a house that appears to be made of logs and bricks. I believe it is Silverplate. A magnet does not stick to it, except on the hinge. It has vines and flowers growing up the sides and they seem to crawl on to the roof tiles. The inside bottom is lined in balsa wood. It says Made in Japan on the outside bottom.

I'm teaching my granddaughters about antiques, vintage items and collections. They also learned how items were manufactured in the past.

I'm giving them a small bit of a business lesson so that they always have a path to achieving their goals and helping others. I took them out searching for something they would like to collect and something they would like to list for others who may be collectors (or for those who might just find an item lovely).

They excitedly spent hours doing online research and (if possible) asked the current owners about items before purchasing. After their purchase, they did additional research and decided what to list their items for.

They took pictures, measurements and decided on the layout of their items. They learned many new words and added them to their description. 🙂 They decided what starting price they wanted me to list their items for, and I am honoring their decisions.

We discussed what they would do with any money made and in which order they would do each. They decided on:

1. Donating to a worthwhile cause

2. Putting money aside for their education

3. Of course, buying a personal item they need or want

This item is being sold the younger of the two girls. She hopes someone else out there loves butterflies and the rest of her picks also!
