This set of four Japanese rice/noodle bowls features four unique patterns that showcase the rich culture of Japan. The bowls are made of high-quality porcelain and are perfect for serving rice or noodles, two staples of the Japanese diet. Each bowl has a different design, featuring cranes, abstract calligraphy, and bamboo. The crane bowl depicts three flying cranes on a cobalt blue background, highlighted in gold. The two calligraphy bowls have Japanese characters written in gold on pale gray/green backgrounds. The bamboo bowl features two matte gray sprays of bamboo on a gray/white background. All bowls have white interiors and sit on bases that are approximately 1 1/2 inch in diameter. They should be hand washed.Although originally designed for rice or noodles, these bowls double as terrific condiment or sauce dishes.
