Dominican amber from the Dominican Republic was the source of amber for which the movie series Jurassic Park (World)was based upon with the supposed mosquito providing fragmented dinosaur DNA.

Dominican fossil amber is known for the clarity of its inclusions including such things as insects, arachnids,and botanicals. This is authentic, untreated amber from the Dominican Republic.

This is a parcel offour (4) polished amber fossil gemstones fromthe amber mines in the Dominican Republic thatcontain various insect inclusions.

The fossils include a piece with a chironomid and a fly,a second piece has a winged ant,a third piece contains the nymph of a planthopper and a fourth with a fungus gnat, all from an ancient tropical forest.

The pieces weigh a total of8.9 g and have lengths between1.8 and2.9 cm each (2.5 cmis approximately 1 inch). I hand-sand and fully polish the majority of amber pieces I offer, these pieces from rough originating fromthe Dominican Republic.

Please note that the saltwater test to identify real from fake amber is not reliable. The saltwater test claims that real amber will float in saltwater while fake amber will sink.
However, many amber sources or even specimens will not float in saltwater as their botanical (plant) composition as well as fossil inclusions are such that they are more dense than saltwater and so sink. I do not sell fake amber. My response should help demonstrate this.
