27 Inch GIANT LAVA Lite Lamp Blue Liquid, White/Pink? Lava, Black Base, Orig Box:

Add retro flair to any room with this 27 inch GIANT LAVA Lamp from Lava. The lamp features a blue liquid with white/pink lava that flows smoothly in a satin finish black base.

The Lava in this lamp is listed as White and does look to be an off-white color when it is cold/hardened, however when heated up and flowing it has a pink color hue. I don\'t know why this is, but it has always been this way. I purchased this Giant Lava new about 20 - 25 years ago but have had it sitting in climate controlled storage for the last 15 - 20 years.

Lamp is in excellent used working condition with all original packaging, box and paperwork. The lamp base has some extremely small bumps/marks that are only noticeable in reflective light conditions. This lamp was never abused or operated for more that 10 hours at a time.

The lamp comes in its original box with factory packaging and paperwork. The original factory box/packaging has been double boxed for ultra safe shipping. There is a Dura-Max bulb installed in the lamp and an extra unused Dura-Max bulb is also included.

Here\'s some info you might not know about the GIANT LAVA:

• These lamps are so big that it can take several hours for the Lava to heat up to operating condition. For the listing photos my room temperature was 66 degrees and it took 2 and one half hours for the Lava to warm up and appear as you see it in the photos. So, if you keep your thermometer set lower than that, expect even more time. If you\'re in a hot climate in the summer without AC it\'ll be quicker!
• As it says in the instructions from Lava, colors of the Lava change over time.
• Total weight of a Giant Lava is 23 pounds!
• Keep Lava out of direct sunlight.
• Never operate the Giant Lava for more than 10 hours at a time.
• The glass globe is hand-made and may have slight manufacturing marks and bubbles; this cannot be avoided and is normal for this process. There are some slight manufacturing marks and bubbles in the glass of this lamp.
• The gap space between the top of the liquid and bottom of cap is normal and varies from lamp to lamp, but on some the gap is huge and visually irritating. As you can see my photos I made sure to choose a lamp that had a very small gap so that when it is fully heated the gap is almost not visible at all.
