Twenty-fifth Anniversary Mustering-in of Co. M / 1st Mass. Infantry. Celebrated under the auspices of Battery M. 1st Regt. H.A. M.V.M. December 15, 1903. This small roster of members of the 1st Mass Inf. and Artillery has photos of some of the principal officers of these companies. It also acts as a menu provided on this occasion.
The first image is of Capt. Braley, commanding the 1st Mass. Infantry, and two other officers of the 1st Mass Heavy Artillery. The 1st Ma. Inf. from what I can determine was not federalized during the war but the 1st Mass H.A. was the only artillery to be federalized. Whether or not some of the personnel fo both of these units were in both organizations I don\'t know. The rosters in this piece dated 1903 does not show that.
Small pocket size format in fine condition.
Nice little SAW reference of some Massachusetts units.
