For your consideration, we are offering for sale this stunning Never Inked, Mint in the Box 2021 Montblanc Special Edition Around the World in 80 Days Fountain Pen fitted with an 18K Medium Nib. This pen comes with the original boxes and Montblanc Limited Edition Documentation. This fountain pen has never been inked and is considered in Mint Condition.
The Meisterstück \"Around the World in 80 Days\" collection draws inspiration from the renowned adventure novel by Jules Verne. The Solitaire Le Grand Fountain Pen, crafted in blue translucent lacquer with a gradient finish, reflects the initial segment of the protagonist\'s journey. The principal character primarily travels by steamboat from London to Bombay, traversing the Mediterranean Sea and navigating through the Suez Canal. The cap and barrel exhibit a milled pattern representing key elements of the narrative: ocean waves, playing card suits, and a cartouche featuring a lasered depiction of the steamboat. The cap top is embossed with the duration of the journey, denoting 18 days from London to Bombay, culminating in a total of 80 days. This writing instrument is completed with a hand-crafted 18K bi-color nib, finished in rhodium and champagne-tone gold, intricately designed with a depiction of a hot-air balloon alongside the commencement and conclusion dates of this adventurous endeavor.
The cap and barrel are in perfect condition with no cracks, nicks, or repairs. The cap is always securing tightly to the barrel. The fountain pen measures 5 3/4\" capped and 6 3/8\" posted. This Montblanc is a special edition with the serial number of this particular pen, \"MAKMDLSO\" stamped on the top of the cap clip as shown in image 6.
This Montblanc fountain pen uses a piston filling system and I have tested it with water and it works as it was designed to. I have greased the piston for smooth operation. There were no signs of ink inside the barrel or the nib - this is how I came to the conclusion the fountain pen had never been inked.
This fountain pen features a 18K Medium nib. The nib is labeled \"4810, 18K/Au750, Montblanc and is considered a Medium point, measuring .84mm with digital calipers. To preserve its pristine condition, I refrained from using ink in the pen, to keep it in never-inked condition for the new owner.
This Montblanc comes in the original Montblanc inner and outer boxes, and Montblanc Special Edition literature - all in perfect condition!
This Montblanc Around the World in 80 Days Fountain Pen is a truly stunning and refined writing tool, skillfully created and designed in Germany.
