1. Remove spoon from poly bag and read instructions.

2. Sound mechanism is activated when bowl of spoon makes contact with liquid. See metal contacts on top and on bottom of bowl of spoon.

It is safe to activate sound by touching contacts with mouth or tongue.

Please note that this is being sold in hopes that it works-no way for me to test sealed in poly bag-sold as is.
