TWO HAND-COLORED ENGRAVINGSdepicting scenes from history ofMALACCA
This listing features two engravings that i believe to be hand-colored copper or steel engravings, printed on laid paper. They were disbound from a book and, to me, appear to date from circa 1800. One of the leaves has German text on reverse mentioning Malacca.
The artwork itself measures 3 1/2\" x 5 3/4.\" The pages measure 4 1/8\" x 6 5/6.\" They are in good used condition, with slight toning, as illustrated.
These were purchased with a large lot of engravings at Brimfield, probably about thirty years ago. My family has been in the antiques and design business since 1955.
