2 Rare Obscure Japan Pre-War Binoculars Asia Kogaku Pre Nikon & Noritake Special:

2 Rare Obscure Japan Pre-War Binoculars Asia Kogaku Pre Nikon & Noritake Special. Condition is "Used". These are hard to find, early pairs of Japanese Military type binoculars. Both of these binoculars were manufactured for a short period of time and were transitioned into other companies. One pair is marked Asia Kogaku and features an engraved logo with Japan and the Eastern mainland of China depicted. They have a very low serial number of 385. Evidently, Asia Kogaku was not a trademark that the Japanese used extensively during this time.  Eventually the Japanese Consolidated their efforts under Nippon Kogaku and Nikko which eventually became Nikon. The second pair of binoculars is a Noritake Special coated lens 7 x 50 . They are number 9593. The Asia Kogaku Binoculars have been well used. They are missing almost all of their vulcanite and have some cosmetic scratches, paint scrapes and general wear. Adjustment and Optics are fair to good, but the second element of the binoculars shows moderate fungus. As mentioned, this has not affected Optics. Optics are marked 7 x 50 mm , 7.1 degree . The binoculars are approximately 7 x 7 x 3 inches. No case or strap.  The Noritake binoculars are in better condition. The leather is almost entirely intact and in good shape. The Optics are also good, but the adjustment is a little sketchy . These binoculars had an old leather strap which has broken . Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.
