2 Pieces Vintage French Chinoiserie Charles Burger Interior Fabric ~ Cutter?:

Beautiful vintage French chinoiserie inspired interiors fabric. “Mandarin”

a Charles Burger, Paris textile, a well known high end French company.

I listed a large panel of this textile, this listing is for 2 good sizes pieces that have good fabric to work with but also some worn areas & a few random small spots & aging to the upper area.

Again though, there is a good amount to cut from for pillows etc..

Beautiful ikat weave done in pleasing colors~ terra cotta, apricot, green, blue & yellow. The ground is a natural tone.

Interiors weight, like a canvas weight. The scale is quite large.

I believe from the 1960s. I believe that a company has reproduced this but via the markings on this piece, it appears to be the original Burger textile.

Measures-

My dimensions are smaller than the actual pieces taking into consideration the flawed areas.

53” x 30” & 39” x 37”

(In actuality both lengths are 53” wide)

I think you’ll be pleased with the usability of this, it’s more generous than it sounds in person~ for creative hands, there’s areas beyond my dimensions that are quite nice.

Otherwise, it appears good. I believe it’s been laundered. May need a fresh press. I acquired it quite crinkled and lightly pressed it a bit.

Excellent for an abundance of home pieces including small decorative upholstery, cushions, creative wall hangings, bags etc..
