Pair Of Maroon Porcelain French Guilt Landscape Mantle Vases Limoges?Old Paris? Sevres? 11 1/2”. These are a fine pair of mantle vases, most likely French, based on quality, color and scene. I am not a porcelain expert so here is my best guess. I believe these vases were probably made from early 20th century to mid 20th century to look like antique vases, while they are vintage and quality, they are not truly antiques. That is my opinion, I may be wrong. My asking price matches my opinion. If these were 18th or 19th century pieces they would be very expensive vases. They appear to have a transfer landscape portrait that has hand painted details on the surface. One vase features a hunt scene and is signed K Callard. The name Callard does show up as an artist associated with Limoges. The other vase has a courting scene. They are very eye catching and would be a nice focal piece in any setting. The estate they came from had some very fine antiques. There are no chips chips, cracks, or major scratches. There is some wear on the gold, and some minor wear to the paint. look at the pictures.
