Two embossed postcards both with the message \"Thanksgiving Day.\" Both are postmarked ____. Divided back, in nice shape. See photos.
According to tuckdbpostcards.org, these 2 are part of a set of 12 embossed \"THANKSGIVING DAY pilgrim scenes.\" Printed in Saxony, Germany.
1) \"Male and female turkey drive corn car with lemon wheels to right.\" Printed in fall colors: gold, yellow, orange, pink, browns and green.
Marked as \"Design Copyrighted by Raphael Tuck & Sons, Co. Ltd\" (On the bottom in tiny gold print.)
The card is unposted, with a handwritten address and a short note. It is marked as \"..Tuck...Post Cards Series No. 175...Art Publishers to Their Majesties the King and Queen.\"
CONDITIONFront: Edges are slightly worn, with some surface wear on the corners. Left upper corner is slightly bent. Right upper corner is smudged a tiny bit. Corners are slightly rounded. See photos.
Back:Embossing is nice. Overall card is in nice shape. Some smudging across the top and left sides, and a possible tape mark on the upper right. No postage.
2) \"Male turkey holds wishbone in beak, GOOD LUCK ribbon, pumpkin lower left.\"Printed in gold, blue, red, white, pink, orange and browns.
The card has a postdate but the year is illegible. Handwritten address and a short note, dated Nov 1910. It is marked as \"..Tuck...Post Cards Series No. 175...Art Publishers to Their Majesties the King and Queen.\"
CONDITIONFront: Edges are slightly worn, with some surface wear on the corners. Left upper corner is slightly bent. Corners are slightly rounded. See photos.
Back:Embossing is nice. Overall card is in nice shape. Some smudging on the left edge, and a few small marks in the middle. 1 cent stamp.
SHIPPINGShips wrapped in archival tissue placed inside a bubble mailer, then sandwiched in between two pieces of cardboard and placed in a rigid mailer.
