This press kit for the 1998 Mercury line is in perfect original condition. Sent to journalists in advance of the public introduction of the new Mercs, it includes the cover letter dated August 1997. The half-inch-thick, glossy packet with Velcro closure includes sections titled “Mercury Cars” and “Mercury Trucks” – the Villager minivan and Mountaineer SUV. The packet includes four 35mm photos showing the Sable, Mountaineer, Nautica Villager and Tracer Trio. Until May 2024, the press kit hadn’t been opened since it was sent to a local newspaper in Florida in 1997. Free shipping only to the U.S. Lower 48.
