Participants call out the rosary while walking on Kenner Avenue during the 94th annual procession of St. Rosalie Sunday afternoon in Kenner. The mass, and Procession (here led by Father Richard Miles, with the Monstrance) has been an annual event of the Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (located in Rivertown, in Kenner) since 1898 when an anthrax epidemic that hit the early settlement of settlers prayed to Saint Rosalie, the patron saint of Palermo Italy. About 500 persons participated in this year\'s procession which traveled about 9 miles in a course which stared at the church on Short street in Rivertown, went up Williams Boulevard to Kenner Avenue and back to the church on River Road.
