I purchased this bike new in San Jose Ca. in 1990. It has never been crashed or taken off-road.No loose or bent spokes.
It\'s been my overall bike to ride on paved surfaces, parks, beaches (no sand), Golden Gate Park, etc. The seat is new. I also installed a small under-the-seat ditty-bag for a chain and lock. It was great to peddle Golden Gate to tour the various museums.- A few items and details below:
- Quickrelease hubs front the rear
- Centerpull quick release brakes
- Quickrelease seat post
- Verylow milage front and rear tires and tubes
- Verylow use on both handlebar grips
- BionicSugino LX /w STI shifters (3x7 speed) {21 speeds)
- Suntour clink and release gear changers
- VeryClean, with one or two scratches on one side of the main tube decal
- Installed a chain protector on the side tube just underneath the chain (no evidence of ever rubbing)
- Installed a rotation gooseneck that has degrees of rotation displayed (OEM part included)
- Suitablefor Men or Woman (installed ergo seat with cut-out)
- Brakeset:Shimano Deore LX cantilever
- Wheelset:Specialized BX-23 rims w/ Shimano Deore LX hubs
I made the bike fully adjustable that makes a very pleasant riding machine.
