1984 Hew Orleans Worlds Fair and Exposition. A unique event in Louisiana history. The expo even featured a Nasa Space Shuttle from the beginning of the vehicles production in the early 1980's.. This poster art is beautifully done by the famous New Orleans artist Hugh Ricks 'Rip'.. Featuring a beautiful blue eyed, auburn haired woman holding the planet and featuring the importance of water in our world. This lithograph is one of the only 1000 that Ricks personally signed. The other 4000 bear his signature as part of the art work. Pay attention to the double signature. One is to the left of the bottom of the poster and the second is close the bottom of the right side..This piece is #643/1000 as pictured. Ricks was a talented artist and a true Renaissance Man. Many Jazz Fest Posters were created by Ricks along with the Albuquerque International Ballon fest. Produced 40 years ago and still in mint condition. 19" wide x 33" tall.
