It\'s a talent. I don\'t study, practice or rehearse. I just dance. It\'s a sixth sense.\" This sixth sense has earned Sandman the reputation of being one of the greatest living tap dancers. For seventeen years he was a featured act at Harlem\'s Apollo Theater. It was there that he developed his specialty, sand dancing, which gave him his nickname. This consists of dancing on loose sand in a box with a sounding board that can be miked. Sandman Sims is the uncontested \"Greatest Sand Dancer in the World\". The movie \"No Maps On My Taps\" spotlights Sandman along with two other tap greats, Bunny Briggs and Chuck Green.
