This is an original press photo. Alexander Julian - \"I would love to create a course for primary grades that would teach young children the appreciation of color and its relativity to everyday living instead of watching them cut their teeth on TV game shows,\" says Alexander Julian, a Coty Hall of Fame Award-winning designer. \"It is not true that I was born in the custom department of my father\'s store in Chapel Hill, N.C.\", says Julian, \"but the doctor did wear tweeds and I did have blue oxford cloth diapers. I have always been fascinated by color, shape and the way fashion seems to be a mirror of our lives. \"Clothes don\'t make the man, they only make him better-looking. The most important thing about clothing is to enjoy it and to use it to express yourself when you choose to express yourself, and not to take it too seriously, not necessarily in that order.\" Photo measures 8 x 10.25 inches. Photo is dated 2-7-1982.
