This vintage preowned stone trinket box is in very good condition that is consistent with this items use, age and history. This item has had one owner. It has minimal conditional issues that do include a small chip on the upper inside edge of the bottom part of the heart. It cannot be seen when the cover is on. It is very small in size and even possible that it is original from the manufacture of the item. There are no obvious large scale chips or cracks and all the inlay pieces are intact and present. The other conditional issue is light surface scratching and some marks on the inlay pieces which again, could be original. The scratches are normal for a vintage item that has been handled, loved and used in it\'s previous lifetime. This box is made of soapstone and the sides are carved out leaving a beautiful lattice pattern that lets some air pass through. The top is inlaid with mother of pearl, carnelian and jasper stone. This trinket box measures approximately 1.25\" tall x almost 3\" wide ( 2 & 14/16th\") and length (side) is approximately 3\". It is a nice piece with a nice polished finish and is substantially weighted for it\'s small size as a natural rock product should be.
