1977 STAR WARS MOVIE STILL Very Early Vader Signature Original Owner
Up for sale is an early movie still signed by Darth Vader, aka Kermit (Bryce) Eller. This is the same suit actor who signed the cement for the footprints ceremony in front of Mann\'s Chinese Theatre on August 3, 1977; guest-starred on The Donny & Marie Show a month later; appeared as a hologram in the (very early) Making of Star Wars documentary; and shared the stage during the April ‘78 Academy Awards’ Oscar for Best Costume Design. I had this signed at Vader’s earliest large appearance in Northern California, at San Francisco’s Emporium department store a few months after the film’s opening.
This piece has maintained its vibrancy and displays very well, but I will note that viewing it from an extreme angle reveals a series of fine surface wrinkles commensurate with its 47 years. Regardless of that, it remains a great little gem, and it will be bagged and boarded and very well packed for its journey to its new owner.
