These SUPER RARE Tickets were available for active and retired servicemen returning at Disneyland in the summer of 1977. Patriotism was at an all time high following the Bicentennial. They were allowed to purchase these books for $6.50 each (Retail Value $21.50), which included 2 days of park admission and 12 adventures (rides). This ticket features a really unique RED colored Key on the front of the ticket, as opposed to all of the purple keys you normally see on green backgrounds on tickets from this era. This would allow the Disney Cast Members to recognize and thank our great servicemen for their sacrifice. This ticket measures 4.25” x 2”. Authentic Serial Number MW 044451 printed on this ticket. ONLY These special tickets had serial numbers that started with MW (Military Weekend). This ticket is in excellent condition. What a wonderful piece of US Military and Disney history, all wrapped up into one. The People Mover in Tomorrowland gets a Super Speed Tunnel added to its route. The Mine Trains thru Nature’s Wonderland are closed to make way for a new attraction. Space Mountain, the Starcade and Space Stage are all opened in Tomorrowland. The park is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the off season.
