Small hardcover book; this is actually a 1970s reprint of Lewis F. Day and Mary Buckle\'s classic Art in Needlework originally published in 1900. The modern cover, new title and an introduction written by Erica Wilson were likely meant to entice a younger generation of needleworkers, but all photos are of very traditional designs and there\'s nothing particularly Art Nouveau about it. Still, if you are interested in 19th century needlework and well-presented, illustrated stitching instruction, a copy should be part of your library.
Very good condition, pages appear new and the binding is tight. Collectible edition.
