The basic idea for Holt's taxi, a van like air conditioned, spacious structure which can be adapted to fit on any car chassis used for taxis comes from the London taxicab. The front portion of the vehicles seats the driver and has a clear space next to him for luggage, the rear portion has five passenger seats, three facing front and two facing back, in a large, high roofed compartment.
