1968 Vintage Photo by KEYSTONE PRESS. The Franco British Training, fighting and tactical support aircraft Jaguar made its first flight at Istres, Southern France, yesterday. French Chief Pilot Bernard Witt was at the control while his British Colleague Chief pilot Jimmy Dell followed in another airplane. The SEPECAT Jaguar is a British-French jet attack aircraft originally used by the British Royal Air Force and the French Air Force in the close air support and nuclear strike role. It is still in service in significantly upgraded form with the Indian Air Force.
