The bicycle was all original when I bought it, but it was just too tired looking for my liking. I sprayed the bicycle with a color that closely matched the original, but not quite. I did not spray the entire bike, meaning where the Schwinn logo on the frame and the decals on the seat post were kept original. I have the original seat which will come with a bicycle. It is not in the greatest shape. The chain guard was sprayed and I placed a new decal on the chain guard, the shifter decal is a new decal, but it came off and when I placed it back on it tore around the edges. I have a new decal to replace that decal. One of the fork decals came off and the other fork decal is good. The chrome cleaned up pretty well it was not pitted or rusty, therefore it did clean up nicely. The tires are original the caps on the pedals are missing and will need a new chain. The rear brake will need to be installed and the derailer needs to be rebuilt. The screws that mount the shifter had to be drilled out because of rust, Therefore, we need new screws and screw nuts to be replaced. Please view last photo to reference. The mounting bracket and nut for the derailer has gone missing. I’m trying my darndest to find it but as of now I don’t have it. The Sissy bar and handlebars have some road rash, but the bike overall is still very displayable.I was not trying to restore the bike just freshen it up. The advantage of the bicycle was that it was not a rust bucket and that made it lot easier to clean up. I would havekept it original if it had been in better shape. It was just a little too rough.
