Long-Lewis Ford moved into its new home, 4200 Bessemer Super-Highway, Friday as Bessemer Mayor Jess Lanier and Charles Long Senior, president of the company, joined in slicing a ribbon with the mayor\'s knife, formally opening the new $750,000 sales and service facility. From left are Tom Ashley, Bessemer city commissioner; W. Cooper Green, president of the Jefferson County Commission; Mayor Lanier; Harry Lewis, Detroit, Michigan, manager of dealership and facilities department, Ford Motor Company and Company President Long. It is one of the largest and most modern Ford dealership facilities in the Southeast.Photo measures 9.5 x 6.25inches. Photo is dated 06-29-1965.
