Back in the 1960's when conservative, professional men wore business attire for work or at play, the dapper "look" wasn't complete without a pocket handkerchief. If they wanted to also show their support for the 1964 republican presidential candidate, Barry Goldwater, they could replace their silk handkerchief with this 3.25" x 6.75" cardstock item with a fabric topper using The Periodic Table of Elements symbols for his last name exposed printed in gold. Then, when the appropriate person, perhaps a nice-looking (but maybe not-so-bright) young lady became inquisitive enough, they could lift this up out of their suit pocket to show his picture and explain what those symbols stood for. It has his name and a campaign slogan at bottom, this one in orange coloration.
